Skopia: The Greek political party Golden Dawn announced it would not accept a name containing the term Macedonia as Greece tries to settle a name dispute with its northern neighbor it calls the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM,) Focus news agency reported.
The party’s leader, Nikolaos Michaloliakos, said in an interview to Greek Stoxos newspaper that if the ruling in Athens accepted a name with the word Macedonia in it, they would have to face and deal with Golden Dawn.
“I do not know what they would do, they are capable of anything. But if they recognize Skopje with a name that contains the word Macedonia, they would have to deal with us. Such a thing cannot pass. Macedonia is one and it is Greek,” Michaloliakos remarked.
