Fascist Aesthetic in Ads

Bronze Age Pervert

This thread should be about fascist aesthetic in ads, in particular ads that copy Riefenstahl.

This Dolce & Gabbana Sport ad openly references Riefenstahl's "Olympia" in several scenes and also in the setting, there's no doubt for me (especially when the camera moves in particular way at :14 and :21)

They also released it this year in time for the Olympics. The advertising fags are closet nazees, as Allegheny claimed, this is true....

I know this isn't quite in the same vein as the Dolce & Gabbana ad, but BoltBus displays the Mosleyite logo wherever it travels. There is also this "street marketing" stunt which shows the company's frumpy employees with shirts and balloons bearing the logo. This could be interpreted as liberal-postmodernist recuperation of the once fascist symbol into a meaningless logo used precisely for it's sharp modernist design but devoid of any ideological content.

Also, the advertisement here at 6:38 is directly influenced by Riefenstahl. The link should automatically go to that point if I have done it correctly, 6:38!!!
