Niccolo and Donkey

From the photos it appears the poorer nations (except Italy) eat less processed and packaged foods.

I never knew okra existed outside of the southern US.

Some of the poorer nations are also able to feed more people on less food that the Westerners. Also impressive how the Africans manage on so little. The Westerners buy an insane amount of food, no wonder people are getting fatter and fatter, especially when you consider the low amount of fruit and vegetables the American and British families buy. My family of four spends about 130USD on food every week. This is also by and large unprocessed food. We very seldom buy sweets or eat out. I noticed some of the families listed various desserts and potato chips as food.
